Could I ask for a reconsideration?

edit

@Ken Tony, Bkissin, Kieran207, and TheAafi: This draft was created by Liverpoolpics, who was blocked indefinitely in July 2021 and has not requested unblock. On 30 November 2021 I reworked it entirely; the draft we now have is sourced, and I believe demonstrates notability. (It was mentioned at the AN/I discussion that some of Liverpoolpics' translated submissions at AfC were on notable topics.) I pinged the declining reviewers in my edit summary, but since the draft is now approaching its 6-month editing anniversary again, I would like to request a re-examination. I think it would be wrong for me to flip the template back to "submit", since if accepted, it would then be credited to me as article creator. If none of you is inclined to consider it again, could you please switch the template status for me so I don't get the credit? Either way, many thanks. Yngvadottir, if you resubmit the AfC draft, shouldn't you be notified of its decline/acceptance? Manually, an AfC-submission tag could be incorporated at the top of the draft, alongside username of a specific user who should get notified about the AfC decline/accept (normally the one who submits the draft). There's no benefit in substituting the name of the old blocked user in it . If you've made the improvements and if you believe it is okay now and might be accepted, just put on the tag and resubmit. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 20:59, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
I really don't want to get one of those "Your article has been accepted" templates on my user talk, and as I understand it they're autogenerated if I put {{submit}} on the article or press the "resubmit" button, since they constitute edits by me. If it weren't for the pandemic, I'd go to the public library and use the public-access terminals, but I think they've taken that away. It would presumably be a big violation of some sort for me to unofficially take responsibility by moving the draft to mainspace myself, since I am not an AfC reviewer (nor do I wish to be one; using the tool would be technically beyond me, apart from the fact that I lean inclusionist). But as I understand it, AfC reviewers and admins can circumvent the button and flip a draft back to requesting review without its being assigned to them for the user talk template if it's created? If your concern is that I won't get credit for my work, let me state unequivocally that rescuing the article is enough for me. I might or might not put it on my user page list (which is primarily a reminder for me to check back whether anything needs updating or has been vandalised). I actually would prefer Liverpoolpics to get a notice on their talk page; many of the topics they wrote drafts on were indeed notable, they deserve that much credit whatever the story behind that account was, and I prefer for anyone who happens to look at their talk page to see evidence of that, if only because we don't know what the story was. But you're the AfC reviewer, not me :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 21:47, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yngvadottir, thanks for the explanation, just resubmit the draft and I'll make a note that you're not notified if it is accepted or declined. ─ The Aafī on Mobile (talk) 06:44, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

Here is information on the sources currently used in the draft, to assist in re-evaluating it. (Note: in the library archive used for older newspapers, recognisable by having page numbers, click on the page to get a menu on the left including zoom keys.)

  1. Worldfootball.net, sourcing birthdate and full name, replacing transfermarkt and be.fotball
  2. Fremover is a regional paper: "Han satser på A-landslaget" = "He's betting on the national A-team" - 1970 article all about him as a rising youth star, w/ photo
  3. Nordlands Framtid [no] was a local paper, in 2002 rolled into Avisa Nordland. "- Barten er en del av meg" = "'The moustache is part of me'". Interview, 1½ pages, big photo (1988). This is post-retirement as a player, reviews his career a bit—used it to ref Frigg, hid the other Oslo team and how many seasons, and it refs his move to Bodø being in 1975—plus some about his trademark moustache and a lot about his endeavouring to get better sports facilities in Bodø (neither of which I mentioned).
  4. Vestby Avis is a local paper. "Fotballprofil er banemann" = "Famous footballer is groundskeeper" - lengthy article all about him, from perspective of his move and job in retirement. Now paywalled. = "He won the Cup Final at Ullevaal [Stadium], got silver in the series, and for several years was a strategist and captain of his team in what is now called the Tippeliga. Now he's factotum at Grevlingen Arena. Every day, Truls Klausen is around, checking that everything's in order at HSV FC's home pitch."
  5. Nordlands Framtid. "Får spille alle seriekampene i høstsesongen" = "May play all league games in autumn season" - article all about him, w/ pic (1980)
  6. Nordlandsposten was also local and rolled into Avisa Nordland. "'Krigen' om en treners fall" = "'War' over a coach's fall". 1½ pages with a big pic and witness statements, a couple of days after the sidelines collision. There's also an interview with Klausen on p. 40, "Snill som et lam" = "Mild as a lamb".
  7. iTromsø is local, formerly Bladet Tromsø, but note that this is via Aftenposten, Norway's premier paper. "Glimt – TIL for 23 år siden: 10 minutter etter at Aabrekk ble liggende, kom kubjella susende fra tribunen" = "Glimt – TIL 23 years ago: 10 minutes after Aabrekk went down, a cowbell came zinging out of the stand". A 2018 retrospective interviewing a Glimt player. 2 paras about the collision.
  8. Avisa Nordland (local/regional) "Rivaliseringens høydepunkt—da Harald Aabrekk falt livlos om på myra" = "The climax of the rivalry—when Harald Aabrekk fell lifeless in the dirt [?—myra defied my basic Norwegian]" Paywalled - all I can see is pic and "Norsk fotballs villeste øyeblikk?" = "The vilest moment in Norwegian football?" (2019): to further support press obsession with the incident.
  9. Nordlys is regional. A personal account at a football site. 1st para recounts the event. "Klausen mente at dette var rent skuespill, for å få oppmerksomheten bort fra kampen." = "Klausen reckoned it was pure playacting to draw attention away from the match".
  10. Tromsø = Bladet Tromsø. "Forberedt på hetsing" = "Prepared for incitement". 1-page interview (w/ full-page photo and 2 others). September 1995 -less than 4 months after the incident - the paper set up a visit for them to meet but Aabrekk wasn't there.
  11. Avisa Nordland. Short, hyper-local, unpaywalled feel-good piece all about him on the occasion of his 2013 retirement as a physio (Sommerblomsten = "Summer flowers"); the paper gives flowers to people and does an article on why they deserve them): "Har hjulpet folk i 40 år" = "Has been helping people for 40 years".
  12. Interview w/ wife. Grubis is a blog. "Verdens rikeste jente" = "The richest girl in the world". 2015, on the occasion of her retirement. Spells his name Truls Clausen as stated in hidden note, which also explains my decision to use this source. Contains the sentence "Soilerne på Bodø/Glitm ble feiret verre enn rockestjerner." - players at Bodø/Glimt got publicity "worse than rock stars". Interview used for her career, year of marriage, and children. Yngvadottir (talk) 02:37, 8 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
