Google books
editI've just reverted this well intentioned edit.
The link was to the right book. Further, it was to a substantial passage of the right book. It's just that Google had/has misdescribed the book.
And the link was working fine, as of a few seconds ago.
As for the corrected link, it reveals only tiny snippets of the book. I think a substantial passage of the right (if misdescribed) book is a lot better than tiny snippets of the right (and correctly described) book, and that's why I reverted. -- Hoary (talk) 08:51, 9 September 2009 (UTC)
So when was "Timothy Whites" phased out?
editThis article sadly didn't tell me what I wanted to know, which was when did the Timothy Whites name disappear from the high-street? I certainly remember them being around in the 1980s, but I know of none that still exist now. 86.132.55.133 (talk) 21:19, 5 April 2011 (UTC)
Timothy White
editI do wonder whether there is a mistake regarding the image that shows the logo of Timothy White. I now think that the logo at the head of this article was, in fact, that of Thomas Walton, the firm of greengrocers. Can someone pse dig into the history of Timothy Whites so this can be cleared up?
