Copyright violations edit

The descriptions of episode 1 (outer), 2, and 3 are taken directly from official broadcast on Crunchyroll. Please modify for fair use.

I also found those same descriptions word for word on Gonzo's Japanese ToD: AoU site on You Tube (in English no less). They were copied verbatim from that site, and so I removed them since I was under the impression that simply copying something verbatim from another site is copyvio....isn't it, or is there something I'm not aware of? In general, if a copyright violation is suspected or known, the decision to delete should still not be arbitrated by one person, especially if doing so results in removal of information vital to the understanding of the subject. WP guidelines advise that you instead make mention of it on the discussion page so that other people may be involved. In this case, episode descriptions taken directly from the official source is probably a violation of copyright, but the better solution versus deletion is altering the text so as to paraphrase without infringing.

The series is being officially distributed on crunchyroll and YouTube by the studio that made it, so I'm not sure what the problem is if the descriptions are taken from them verbatim. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 141.155.10.90 (talk) 22:54, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I have changed all of the entries of "Metz Kier" to "Meskia," as in accordance with Babylonian/Sumerian mythology.64.179.37.3 (talk) 21:10, 4 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The opening edit

What do you think about it?It looks like it doesn't related to the story. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.13.164.136 (talk) 14:29, 7 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the op is unrelated to the story, I think it was just a fun thing for the animators. The op doesn't seem to have any significance, unless of course it turns out that the entire anime was actually a movie, that two lovers were watching togeter (like those two depicted in the op), but I highly doubt it.
Maybe the op was meant to show role correspondences between the medieval figures and modern equivalents. At least that's the idea I got from it. Tcaudilllg (talk) 22:00, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The opening is all a subconscious reflection of events that occur within the show. The 'Swinging' opening video reflected the introduction of characters and the conflicts between Jil and Neeba that would eventually take place (this is expanded upon by the "false" episode 1, where Jil's dream is a direct foreshadowing to the rest of his journey). The second opening directly correlates to Neeba and Jil's battle, whereby you can clearly see all of Jil's associates and supporters cheering him on and in his dugout, whereas Neeba plays for the same team as Dark Gil and the Succubus. The concept of the "spoon" may in fact be a joke or reference to a lighter, more playful side of Ki, as exhibited by her child form and teenage form during the final episode. 64.179.37.3 (talk) 20:04, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Good observation. Very good. I agree with you for the most part. How did you reach this conclusion? I am kinda skeptical about the dream bit though; I think that was a reference to the original game. ...Oh I see what you're talking about: Jil knocking out Neeba. Yeah that did go right past me. Ahmey-san edit

WHY!! T^T I want Ahmey-san~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.69.32.144 (talk) 04:07, 17 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

This is not a forum. In-universe discussions is not permitted in the talk page. This is a place to discuss about the article for improvements and such. Vekou (talk) 08:41, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Move and Rename edit

I would like to suggest renaming this article to become The Tower of Druaga (anime) to reflect it covers both Aegis of Uruk and Sword of Uruk, so that we don't end up creating two pages that either repeats a lot of information or happen to stand on their own with very little information. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.84.218.226 (talk) 05:20, 10 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Character page edit

Suggesting a new page for the characters for the anime, particularly in light of new characters being introduced in Sword of Uruk and more details on existing characters. The page is getting a rather long because of the character section alone. 142.58.132.152 (talk) 21:22, 4 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

I think a general page for the entire franchise is needed. The anime brings closure to the original cast. Tcaudilllg (talk) 22:04, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Slightly confusing edit

I find it confusing that whilst describing the characters the article says for example 'In episode X' instead of 'In episode X of Season X'. Might be better if this is changed, but it's 1:30 in the morning and I don't really have the time to do it myself. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.13.228.132 (talk) 01:28, 14 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Separate Season 1 and 2 edit

In order to prevent confusion, I suggest that Season 1, The Aegis of Uruk and Season 2, The Sword of Uruk be separated so as to be distinguished. I'm not sure if a separate article is plausible, since information regarding the two are not that many. probably in a separate section. Or probably, place the two seasons in another two different articles, discussing more specifically in details of the respective seasons. Thus, making this current article some sort of having general topics regarding the common points of the two seasons. Vekou (talk) 08:53, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Spoiler Warning? edit

The entire page seems to hold far too many spoilers and plot revelations and not enough summary. Perhaps this can be remedied by a spoiler warning, or even a separate 'story analysis' section? 64.179.37.3 (talk) 20:05, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I recommend moving most of the information to a general character page for the Tower of Druaga franchise. List the characters by series, starting with the games and ending with the anime. Include everything relevant to characters which appear in both in the games section. This will allow us to describe the character variations between the games.
