Wikipedia is not a HOWTO?

Should this article really be laying out the specifics of each form? They vary from system to system, are hard to describe in text, and don't really seem to fall into an encyclopedic article's purview. --Gwern (contribs) 19:19, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

The Taegeuk forms do NOT vary from system to system. If you are a student of Kukkiwon Taekwondo, you learn these forms. This is not necessarily a How-To article, but more like a description of each form. I can say, from experience, that if you have not been taught these forms by somebody who actually knows them, the description given on this page is insufficient to learn these forms. However, if you do know these forms and want to check to make sure you're doing a specific part of one of these forms correctly, this reference page is very handy. In fact, seeing as nobody else has commented on this since 2006, I'm going to remove the HowTo Template from the page. Dormous (talk) 01:34, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Agreed. This page is not a how-to. It's merely listing the movements associated with each form. In doing so it's providing a definition, not a how-to. You would need a LOT more information than this in order to how-to. Truejim (talk) 02:35, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Removed a bad external link

I removed a non-functional link from the External Links section. The link was *Taeguk and Palgwe forms if anyone knows where the current page is. As far as wikipedia being a HOW-TO, I agree that it's a bit too much detail for the taeguk page. However, I was just looking for the directions to a form and found this page, and was surprised to find everything I needed! Maybe links to separate wiki articles for each form, with directions and pictures for each step would be a better solution, so that we don't lose the valuable information, and yet make the taeguk page less cluttered and long. --Jessica Winstead 20:38, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Taegeuk

Since the red-blue flag symbol is spelled as Taegeuk on Wikipedia, should this page be moved to Taegeuk (Taekwondo) -- i.e., by adding an e to the name? Truejim (talk) 18:59, 9 February 2014 (UTC)
