Talk:Symphonic Game Music Concerts

Big revision edit

1. Since the names of Böcker's concerts seem to be ever-changing from here on out and the article isn't even focused on just the first five concerts anymore, I changed its title from Symphonic Game Music Concerts to German game music concerts. That way, we can incorporate future concerts into the article without creating stubs. If an official name for the whole concert series will be released someday, we can change it to that.

It seems "Symphonic Game Music Concerts" is the name of the series after all, so I changed the name of the first five concerts to "GC in Concert" and moved the page back to the previous title. Prime Blue (talk) 12:24, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

2. The GC in Concert logo is not representative of the series anymore, so I put it down to the Symphonic Game Music Concerts section (renamed from just "The concerts"). The new article picture is now a photograph of the Fourth Symphonic Game Music Concerts. Also added the Symphonic Shades logo.

3. Albeit used on the Wikipedia article for the WDR, the phrase "the Westdeutscher Rundfunk" just seems awkward, so I changed it to "the WDR" which sounds more natural.

4. Removed the "On March 1, 2008" at the beginning of the Symphonic Fantasies section per WP:PROSELINE, same goes for the name announcement: Only the most important dates should be mentioned.

5. Removed the Symphonic Shades website entry on the Stereology interview, it contains the same stuff, just less detailed. Also, changed it back to "Interview mit Thomas Böcker", Stereology is mentioned as the reference source already and the title on the Stereology site is "Interview mit Thomas Böcker".

6. Moved "Guests of honour" down since it also applies for the concerts after 2007. Prime Blue (talk) 01:37, 6 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Second big revision edit

  • removed two non-free images
  • uploaded one new image of an autograph session
  • program lists and excessive concert details removed, it just got too messy with the new events
  • Leipziger Messe GmbH -> Leipzig Trade Fair
  • all web references changed to use the cite web template, for more details and to avoid future proseline
  • put cancellation up to the GC in Concert section, put the chamber music and school concerts to the bottom
  • new introduction to the After 2007 section
  • several rewrites and new sources
