Supposely born in 1946, but according to San Diego Reader she was born August 1945:

In August 1995, the Quicks [Blaine Quick and Bobbie Quick of Rancho Santa Fe] hosted a lavish party for Golding's 50th birthday at their sprawling estate.

Stubbing

edit

I have stubbed and protected the article based on POV concerns expressed to the Wikimedia Foundation by family members. Many claims (such as 'financing political campaigns,' 'effectively destroyed career,' etc.) were baldly stated as fact, when in truth they are in quite a bit of dispute. When the article is unlocked, it must be written dispassionately, neutrally and in a balanced manner that does not give undue weight to any one view of Susan Golding and her career. POV

edit

Under the excuse of POV, this article has been whitewashed to remove all unfavorable remarks were removed, although documented. "Balanced" does not mean removing everything unfavorable to a person. Dananderson 05:39, 14 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fired!

edit

There was a pretty serious effort made to fire Golding before her last term was over. Didn't work, but she's not mayor anymore, anyway.

Golding's judicial system in San Diego was a shambles, there's no way for anyone to deny that. Such injustice. No mention of that on her Wikipedia page, no mention of how Alan Bersin really ended up in the San Diego school district, no mention of why the San Diego federal Office of Personnel Management got closed down, or how they had a federal {that's right, a federal. Not city, county, or state) civil service test given in the same room(s) that the local civil service tests are given in, being the Silver and Copper Rooms in the Civic Center. Why did this happen? Because Golding has outside influences in her decision-making process. Outside influences from where?

Go find out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.245.123.17 (talk) 05:35, 2 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Connection to WP:Oklahoma

edit

Golding's only connection to Oklahoma, according to this article, is her birth in Muskogee. It's an interesting factoid, but not really evidence of subsequent notability. She obviously does belong in WP:California. Perhaps she should be linked to WP: Indiana, where she went to college. I propose to delink her from WP:Oklahoma.
