Do all football player stats focus on goals for a reason? edit

I don't know where to begin, but Goalkeepers (and Defenders?) should be measured by clean sheets. Full backs might get some assists, centre backs some goals. Midfielders look for pass completion, assists, goals and clean sheets (defensive midfielders). Looking at a winger's stats with no indication of assists tells me very little about their success as a player. RI Carling (talk) 04:55, 25 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
