This article seems like fan praise instead of a clinical representation of facts. Lines like 'They just connect with people' seem like the author is part of the band's PR crew.

Parts of the "Recorded history" section is exactly identical to the biography at AMG, isn't that some kind of copyright infringment? 01:28, 20 October 2005 (UTC) [[User:Salmon|Salmon]

Could someone add an image of the band? The infobox is looking a bit odd without it.--MemeGeneScene 21:15, 2 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Starsailor, Silence is easy cover.jpg

edit

Image:Starsailor, Silence is easy cover.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 07:28, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Accusations of cock in Gallagher's mouth

edit

"Gallagher had called the Starsailor singer a "cock" in an interview for NME magazine, something denied by the accused."

I'm confused: was Gallagher accused of calling Walsh a cock, an accusation that he denied; or did Walsh deny that he was a cock? Tsuguya (talk) 10:35, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now biased against band .. ?

edit

no longer fan praise, the article now seems partially very biased against the band.

the first line of the article suggests that they have lied about their roots; "although they claim to be a Wigan band, only one member is actually from the town."

Quotes such as "They played a concert in Wigan in April 2009 at the Tavern pub in front of just 200 - this was the first time they have actually played in the town," "[...] release dropped out of the Top 40 rather promptly," and "[...] which made the Top Ten (#9, the band's highest placing)" serve to further illustrate this bias. (Emphases mine)

These weasel words are unnecessary and do not serve to inform the reader.

I'm not a fan, but coming across the article, it's clear that a great bias against the band has been introduced since the claim that it is solely "fan praise." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.112.246.45 (talk) 21:52, 7 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

I am a fan and I think Sinebot hit the nail on the head

what happened to the famous neutrality Wiki used to be praised so much for, this band is a legend and yes I understand this is my own opinion, the lyrics alone are brilliant
