This article should not be deleted because Stórsveit Nix Noltes

  • have been the subject of at least three articles in non-trivial (albeit, in two cases, online) publications, Pitchfork (only a minor mention in this article), NME (the album review cited in the article) and Tiny Mix Tapes (album review);
  • are an ensemble containing at least two independently notable musicians;
  • were nominated for indie album of the year in the Icelandic Music Awards; and
  • have toured internationally with another notable band, Animal Collective.

Some complications:

  • Firstly, do the articles I've presented qualify as non-trivial? If the gauge is whether it is clear that "people independent of the subject itself have actually considered the musician, ensemble, composer, or lyricist notable", then these few album reviews are non-trivial, in my opinion.
  • Secondly, much of this information comes from the Stórsveit Nix Noltes write-up by Fat Cat Records, their current label. Fat Cat Records doubtlessly qualifies as "an independent label with a history of more than a few years and a roster of performers, many of which are notable," but is the information they provide adequately reliable; that is, can they be considered a source independent of the artist?
