Our Tune edit

Just to say the "Our Tune" slot was running long before 1980, as I used to listen to this at 10:15am when my Mum brought me a mid-morning snack and tea while revising for my A-levels (1978-80), the background music was originally the theme to the TV series Rich Man Poor Man, but this became lost and was replaced by the theme mentioned in the article. It was around the same time when the slot was moved from 10:15am to 11:00am. I do not have the resources to research the details but the article needs to be updated to make these facts are correct.

This article is in serious need of an update. Bates now presents on Smooth Radio, where he has revived Our Tune and the Golden Hour. There is also a mention of an Our Tune at Noon which is syndicated to local stations on weekdays, but I'm imagining that is probably no more since the move to Smooth, but who knows? If anyone does know then perhaps we can update things. My memory of Our Tune is from school in the late 1980s. We had our morning break at around the time it was on and would descend on the common room to listen to it. I'm sure it was on at around 10:45 by then. top 40 edit

It was Bruno Brooks who did the top 40 not Simon Bates! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.191.68.169 (talk) 00:30, 22 January 2017 (UTC)Reply
