McDonald's edit

What exactly is meant by the line "Fast food restaurants, e.g. McDonald's, also often have an outdoor part?" It almost tries to suggest that perhaps McDonald should be categorized among sidewalk cafes. If it doesn't try to do this, then this information is extraneous. I have removed the line from the article for now. Dwr12 (talk) 01:08, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, if you have a better name for the article we can rename it, but the idea was to cover commercial outdoor facilities for eating and/or drinking.--Patrick (talk) 08:00, 26 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
If this is the purpose of the page, I don't think "sidewalk cafe" is the most appropriate term (at least according to how I have heard the term used). I have never heard "sidewalk cafe" being used to describe all "commercial outdoor [eating] facilities." Dwr12 (talk) 03:13, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply
The outdoor part of a fast-food restaurant may look like the sidewalk cafes depicted here.--Patrick (talk) 09:35, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps some lines on the tradition of outdoor establishments (in Italy, France and elsewhere) would be helpful.--rpd (talk) 21:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

disambiguation / search results confusion edit

Search engines list SideWalk Cafe - with the article information for that page. However, when you click on the link it takes you to this page for Sidewalk cafe. Is there a way to fix that issue through a disambiguation page? Unfortunately, I am not savvy enough to figure that out. It would be good for someone to fix that issue - at the very least disambiguating the generic term from the anti-folk music venue in NYC.68.49.70.177 (talk) 12:07, 22 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
