- Sorry. There's been three independent sources mainly discussing this topic, no way this is gonna get deleted. edtiorEهեইдအ😎 05:37, 18 February 2016 (UTC)
Source of "Shrek is love"
editBrought here by the DYK hook, "Shrek is love, Shrek is life". It seems likely this is a religious satire parody of 1 John 4#Verse 8, "God is love". Can this be confirmed by sources? - Brianhe (talk) 08:00, 19 February 2016 (UTC)
- I'm afraid not. edtiorEهեইдအ😎 20:46, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
I think it's more likely to be the Bon Jovi song "This Is Love, This Is Life" (from their Greatest Hits album). FiredanceThroughTheNight (talk) 06:57, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Added the quote itself
editYes, it is a questionable segment for readers. Yes, it may be of some copyright. Yes, it's certainly not worthy to be here without due reason. But I felt that the article was kind of lacking substance when it just spoke of the notable video and its quote without actually specifying it. If a reader has navigated to this article, surely they should know the original phrase and not just its context. The egg needs its yolk.Gaioa (talk) 21:33, 29 June 2017 (UTC)
- I've removed it. This isn't really a valid reason to include what is pretty obviously a copyrighted text. — fox 04:43, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
