Twelve Tribes article edit

Hi. Saw your note about the edits. Please feel free to improve or edit. I was just trying to freshen the page. I'm kind of inexperienced with editing articles -- I hope I can still contribute, even if my changes need to be submitted so that my involvement is managed. I'm not paid to edit, but I'd really like the article to be as accurate as possible. I understand and respect NPOV and the need for verifiable sources. Proposed deletion of Eugene McCarthy (biologist) edit

The article Eugene McCarthy (biologist) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This person is notable for his blog. Having a PhD and compiling some additions to the blog such as a section that he calls "One of the most popular dictionaries of biological and medical terminology on the Internet" doesn't give one a free "notability" pass on wikipedia.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2014 Las Vegas police shooting edit

I can see you moved the article, which was a good idea. Just that the title is ambiguous as it may imply that it was a police shooting rather than policemen shot at. Also, there was a third civilian casualty. I'd suggest you move it to "2104 Las Vegas shooting" which will make the title neutral, and accurate. Cwobeel (talk) 22:20, 10 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Blackmadammug.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Blackmadammug.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 21:18, 28 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Team Swandog edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Team Swandog requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Help on Heathenry (new religious movement) and Odinism edit

Hello. I noticed your recent edit (reversed by vandal). Given your interest, could you help us with Heathenry (new religious movement) and Odinism?

Thanks.

Careful. An editor over there has an "anger management" problem. Look at this exchange:

Please be nice[edit]

If possible, could you edit pages rather than attack editors?

If you knew anything about Odinism, you would know Osred is the leader of the Odinic Rite in Australia (Osred Jameson is mentioned in the Odinism article.)

He is also dying of cancer. --Holtj (talk) 06:52, 19 November 2015 (UTC)

Anyone can claim to be "Osred" on Wikipedia. It doesn't mean that it's the same person, and even if it is, that wouldn't have given them any right to edit Wikipedia in a manner which contravenes our policies. Midnightblueowl (talk) 12:16, 20 November 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Age dysphoria edit

The article Age dysphoria has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An entry for two terms, neither of which appear in either source provided, and the Google results for which are not suggesting notability as a condition.

Speedy deletion nomination of Where White People Meet edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Where White People Meet requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. March 2016 edit

Your recent editing history at Diamond and Silk shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
Just in the interests of parity; Other editor is now at WP:AN3. Take a back seat eh? Cheers, Fortuna Imperatrix Mundi 16:45, 28 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Editing at the Donald Trump presidential campaign edit

Hello! I just wanted to warn you, since you are relatively new here, that you have to be very careful about editing the Donald Trump presidential campaign article. It is subject to discretionary sanctions. "Discretionary sanctions" means that page is closely watched and people can be sanctioned (blocked) without warning for what they do at that page. A warning appears at the top of the page every time you go to edit that page, saying "You must not make more than one revert per 24 hours to this article, must obtain firm consensus on the talk page of this article before making any potentially contentious edits, and are subject to discretionary sanctions while editing this page." IMO you didn't violate the rules when you re-added material about the star of david tweet, but you came close. If you make more than one revert in 24 hours, or if you put in anything controversial without first clearing it on the talk page, you can be blocked without warning. So consider this a friendly heads up to watch your step at that article. Thanks. --MelanieN (talk) 20:16, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Nathan Sutherland edit

Hello FiredanceThroughTheNight,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nathan Sutherland for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
