– WP:PLURALPT. I propose that the primary topic for each of these is the singular topic, Shield and Spear, respectively, and these titles should redirect there. bd2412 T 21:36, 9 October 2014 (UTC)

- @User:In ictu oculi, actually I think it would be a bit awkward for me (as the proposer) to copy and paste another editor's !vote. Also, some of these have been contested, so I'm leery of using technical moves. I would also note that I have about 94 more of these to go, if anyone else wants to get in on checking the plural dabs against singular primary topics and proposing further moves. - Oppose both of these.
- For Shields: The dab page shows that "Shields" is used for a large number of things separate from the singular - a surname, and multiple placenames - as well as several other entries. See Talk:Walls for a similar situation.
- For Spears: Likewise, the dab page shows that "Spears" is used for a surname, a placename, and multiple sports teams - which are nearly always referred to by the plural - as well as other entries. Again, see Talk:Walls for a similar situation.
- It's more helpful to our readers to keep these as separate dab pages, per WP:PLURALPT. Dohn joe (talk) 14:03, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
