Hey, I'm just looking for help writing this. I'm still new to Wikipedia, and could use help building the citations. I have revised the "informal tone" of the article, which I think largely had to do with references to "Shawn" as opposed to "Moore," but I intially wrote in that manner to avoid confusion with Herman Moore, who was a wide receiver at Virginia at the same time that Shawn was the quarterback. I notice news reporters have referred to "Saddam" instead of "Hussein" for years, presumably because they did not want him confused with King Hussein of Jordan. I was using a similar tactic.

8/26/06 - For now, I have left citations in longhand; I need to study Wikipedia's system for creating citations. I see plenty of information on why it should be done, and when, but precious little so far on actually doing it, and creating a footnote area on the page. i have tried in the short term to "parrot" what I see elsewhere, but haven't had luck so far. if someone wants to beat me to the punch, i'll gladly accept the help!

I also realize that Moore's college seasons, especially 1990, are covered in great depth and his pro career is a very quick summary, but I think it is valid to cover his final college season in greater depth. It was the pinnacle of his entire football career. The sequence of events in 1990 is crucial to understanding why Moore was able to accomplish so much early in the season, but why it did not go as well for him later in the season.

I think the 1990 discussion should go in a UVA football article since it involves more than Moore. --207.145.105.170 03:11, 9 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
