editCan't help noticing that there seem to a lot more notable records in the range 2000 - 2010 for Scottish music than in any previous decade. Could it be that someone is biased? Ogg 18:20, 1 December 2005 (UTC)
- What do you mean by 'notable records'? I recently added a lot of albums I found by looking through Category:Scottish musicians / Category:Scottish musical groups / Category:Scottish albums and added any that were released in this decade. I plan on doing the same for other decades, but haven't got around to it yet. I don't see how it is biased - this article is for all Scottish music, not just Scottish 'folk' music. I'm not sure how valuable a "scattergun" approach is. Listing every single album by Scottish artists isn't going to a help for someone new to the subject. I don't think this section should be hugely different from the corresponding section for other decades or for England, Wales and Ireland. Be prepared to have your contribution curtailed. Are you proposing to do England and Wales as well? Ogg 12:38, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
- I think that a list of every single Scottish album would be useful and interesting, a list is not just for people new to the subject. Maybe it would be better if it was arranged differently, i.e. grouped by genre or similar, but then you may get disagreement over what genre a particular album is. I think the England and Wales articles should have a similar list, I don't know if I will get them done myself. Vclaw 15:07, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
