Date of "John Somebody" edit

Grove Music Online lists the date of "John Somebody" as being 1982. I'm not sure where '78 in this article came from; is it the difference between dates of composition and publication? Anybody know? Masily box (talk) 20:05, 25 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Well, Google told me 1978, but the composer's own site says 1980-1982. 1982 is probably the release date. I don't know where 1978 ultimately comes from. We'll leave it as 1982. --Rpresser 19:54, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
And to confuse the matter further, the discography page says John Somebody the album was released in 1986! I give up. --Rpresser 19:58, 7 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
