Edit war related to birth place
editI initially placed the birth location for Sahraa Karimi as Kabul, Afghanistan, on the basis of her IMDB profile and other references calling her an "Afghan"/ from "Afghanistan" (Not Iran). Simsala111 changed the birth place to Tehran, Iran, with two references, which I changed back to Kabul (and in the edit summary requested the user to take it to the talk page). Instead I was reverted without any discussion on the talk page.
Therefore I request an uninvolded editor/admin to help sort this out. I put a request for help at the teahouse regarding how to go about this. Regards. DiplomatTesterMan (talk) 04:57, 13 September 2019 (UTC)

- I think I am getting confused with her being an Afghan but born in Iran, as compared her being an Afghan born in Afghanistan, and just being born in Iran doesn't make her an Iranian. - @David Biddulph: There is also something ambiguous about her age. In her own CV, she records it 20th April 1981 (https://alefjo.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/CV-directorENG_09.pdf), the same date is recorded here on page 11 (https://web.archive.org/web/20230312150203/http://crossart.com.au/images/pdfs/LRG_FORGETTING_WIP.pdf[retrieved on June 2, 2024]). In her Wikipedia article, it is written May 20th 1985, which makes her 37 years old. This needs to be fixed. I just went to the history of this article created in 2019, her age was then recorded May 21, 1983 (see this https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sahraa_Karimi&oldid=914592934).
Ambiguity concerning her PhD degree
- There are some ambiguities about her PhD. It's unclear whether she has completed it or not. There is no indication about what was her dissertation on. It is true that she was enrolled and took graduate courses. She claims to have received a PhD degree in the field of Cinema (Fiction Film Directing & Screenwriting) from the Film and Television Faculty of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Bratislava https://asiapeacefilmfestival.com/team/sahraa-karimi/ however, the website belonging to the IDF only mentions that she took classes between 2004-2009.https://dokweb.net/database/persons/biography/f6bdebb6-c183-4b10-888c-48c9f8da47fd/sahraa-karimi

Sahraa Karimi is an ethnic Tajik,and has stated that as well as the persecution her ethnic group deals with Afghanistan with many times on her X account, please update. I have the source here. [1] User345678921 (talk) 01:08, 29 August 2024 (UTC)

- That source is from her official twitter account. There is currently no source listed on her Wikipedia page that states she is Pashtun so can you remove that as there is no source. Thank you. User345678921 (talk) 19:56, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
