Ga Review

edit

This article needs further expansion and elaboration to pass GA.

  • The footnote refs need to placed immediately after the punctuation.
Done --GrahamDo (talk) 12:24, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Single sentence refs need to be eliminated by integrating/expanding the information.
  • There are business/budget type statistics and administration statistics missing from the article. How is the business run? Board/CEO elections, shareholder info, budget, revenue, expansion, takeover bids, profits, stocke xchange listing, AGM type info.
CEO is Herman Ackermann (And I've now referenced that fact). The company is a private (unlisted) company, so any other information wrt to financials, exact running of the company, is proprietory information and cannot (easily) be obtained. Anyone find any references to this information, be my guest and add it! :) --GrahamDo (talk) 12:45, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • The article lacks info on the pre-2000 operations of the company. How did evolve to reach its current status. Where were its roots, how did it expand its operations and so forth.
  • The controversy needs to be expalined better, as the article does not explain why the company were in trouble, eg illegal dumping, unenvironmental practices and so forth.

  • Lead needs to be expanded and needs to summarise the main body. At the moment the lead is used to introduce new information not elaborated upon in the lead.
  • It would be good to expand on what their BEE policy is wrt affirmative action and so forth.
  • The extent of operations needs to be better explained because at hte moment the article only tells us who has hired the grouop, but not what responsibilties they have, eg - how much tonnage of waste do they collect, how many households do they service, etc.
Done, kind of. No information is available on tonnages and such, but I have expanded on the services provided to Vodacom, and pointed out that the company is not permitted to collect residential waste. --GrahamDo (talk) 12:36, 11 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

References Needed

edit

I couldn't find many references other than the May 2005 debacle, and what information I can glean from their own company website. If anybody has any reference to the history of the company, etc, please post update the article. :) --GrahamDo (talk) 22:47, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm particularly interested in when this "Reach For a Dream" record attempt occurred GrahamDo (talk) 13:33, 3 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, the event took place on 7 July at Cresta, but am still not sure of the year. :( GrahamDo (talk) 08:12, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
Got it! 7 July 2005. :-) GrahamDo (talk) 08:23, 4 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
