Talk:ROSE Online

Latest comment: 1 year ago by Lil-unique1 in topic "R.O.S.E" listed at Redirects for discussion

Someone Wrote in the 'Story' part: "Bullshit is based on the children's novel The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exuperey." althought, the thing of going throught, from planet to planet is something that is shown in the book and it makes resemblance of what its done in the game, I don't think, neither do I know for sure if this statement is true; but a comment: "(Not it isn't! Whoever wrote this is a liar!)" was added at the side of it in the same article, clearly showing a disagreement. Because of this disagreement, and also because of the lack of seriousness in the comment, as well as the fact that it should have been put in this discussion apartment, I deleted both. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dhekranh (talkcontribs) Who ****ing cares?203.206.80.125 (talk) 12:04, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Turnni1Reply

Naming Note edit

Please be aware that Gravity Interactive, LLC. (the US Gravity company) has made use of ROSE North America, as such it is ROSE NA not iROSE. This is made apparent by the way in which they sign all their messages:

Thank you, ROSE NA GM Team Gravity Interactive, LLC.

Therefore ROSE does not follow the Ragnarok Online's naming scheme. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.144.73.130 (talkcontribs)

Actually, the North American licensor became Gravity Interactive, Inc. and all the rest of their asnwers are marked as such, as opposed to it being LLC.

Pictures? edit

Anyone else think that this article is laden with captionless pictures? It reads a bit like a brochure at parts. Modular 15:56, 30 October 2005 (UTC)Reply

yeah too many useless pictures --Melaen 22:21, 14 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Don't look better than most other articles? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.208.225.24 (talkcontribs)

Just an ad for the game? edit

This entry reads just like the "about" section on Rose's website! This needs a major cleanup and rework, it might look pretty, but is definately NOT a good Wikipedia entry. Wikipedia is not a place for companies to advertise their products. If anyone is knowledgable, please rewrite this entry! Shandolad 18:41, 29 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Some more objective information about the game would be nice. The article has a very pro-game point of view.

I'll try to rewrite this as much as I can. Shadikka 09:42, 19 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Pay to play? edit

Some more information on if you have to pay to play would be nice. If it's free, that would set it apart from most other MMORPGs.

No it is free to play now.

Remove the gameplay tips edit

This article is made up by 90%+ gameplay tips that seem to have been taken straight off some official site. I don't think all these tips are needed here on Wikipedia, and think most of it should be removed. Any other ideas? Shandolad 14:19, 7 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

item mall edit

"A mall in the worldwide site where you can buy new items for topping up with load." i would edit this if i could figure out what its trying to say... Thejakeman 05:00, 20 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

naROSE Commercial Release Date edit

I am 100% sure the release date was December 1, 2005 not December 5 2005. I still have pictures dated back to the first of December which is when naROSE reopened to commercial phase.Ashe 08:05, 7 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

P Rose closing... edit

I heard of it a little while ago, P Rose is closing in August...

Required operating system edit

I cannot find, what operating system(s) does this game work on. If this is natively a Windows-only game, can it be played with any emulator applications such as Wine? 72.71.5.157 02:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, you will have to dual boot with a windows partition. haggai.aj —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.187.170 (talk) 00:20, 11 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Rose evolution screenshot.JPG edit

Image:Rose evolution screenshot.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Private Server edit

Why do not people talk about those private server, which are even better?

Amazed this question is being asked. They're ILLEGAL, end of story. Any attempts to add information, including links, about private servers will be promptly deleted. --Resplendent (talk) 05:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

It doesnt really matter, private servers of rose online are tonnes better, there should be a mention that private servers of rose online have been created because of the closing of iRose.203.206.80.125 (talk) 12:00, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Turnni1Reply

  • They aren't illegal, FFS. They violate the game's terms of service. Most games have the artwork on the client side, so no criminal copyright violation occurs in making a private server. The owners (if the game company cares enough) can face civil complaints for hosting a site and reverse engineering software against the TOS, but the only criminal thing I can think of (off the top of my head) is if they reverse engineer and defeat part of the copy protection scheme to do it. However, wikipedia doesn't need to mention them unless they have been mentioned in reliable, independent sources first. Protonk (talk) 13:53, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well The Pirate Bay may be tonnes better to some people as opposed to the cinema opposed to but you won't put that on the cinema article will you? --Hamster X 14:43, 20 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gameplay section edit

The gameplay section is terrible, it even says that refining can only be done at lv 210. Its terribly short and horribly wrong.203.206.80.125 (talk) 12:04, 24 August 2008 (UTC)Turnni1Reply

The past couple of days this article has gotten hammered by people adding private server stuff. It would be nice to maybe get it semiprotected. --Resplendent (talk) 14:01, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply
