editJohn Gratian must be distinguished from the Antipope Gregory VI who opposed Pope Benedict VIII in 1012 A.D. There must be a separate page for Antipope Gregory VI, even if only a nominal page.
Please remove the 'redirect' so that I can do so!

- If you follow the link Antipope Gregory VI, you get redirected to this page. However, at the top it will say:
- Pope Gregory VI
- From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
- (Redirected from Antipope Gregory VI)
- Click on the Antipope Gregory VI link in that header, and it'll take you back to the page without redirecting - you can then delete the redirect text and replace it with an article. If that doesn't work, try following this link and editing the article. Shimgray | talk | 19:03, 2 November 2005 (UTC)
- Done, and much thanks! WikiSceptic 11:07, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
- Excellent. I've added a note here in case someone links here meaning the other one; you might want to check the wording of that, since I confess I know next to nothing about the intricacies of (anti)papacy... Shimgray | talk | 14:06, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
Death Date
editThe chronology to the right gave his date of death as December 20, 1046, which was his date of abdication. He died in 1048, so I changed the date.--Syd Henderson 05:57, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
