Polar ClassPolar Class – Both words are capitalized as per the IACS rules — Polar Class is a proper name, meaning it's a "Polar Class" instead of a "Polar" class or simply a polar class. Also, see here for example of use — "Eventually, seven Polar Classes were adopted". Tupsumato (talk) 22:06, 11 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Support. Reliable sources are not consistent, but the capitalised version is more explicit at no cost. Andrewa (talk) 19:03, 19 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Russian icebreakers are not assigned IACS Polar Classes; the Register has its own system. However, we could clarify in the text that they may nonetheless have equivalent or higher level of ice-strengthening. Tupsumato (talk) 21:09, 1 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
I noticed that this was already covered in the article. Tupsumato (talk) 05:28, 2 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
