Take Over edit

Is it possible if I, Horrorfreak, can take over writing the monkees discography? Look at my work on Headquarters and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, & Jones, Ltd..

I can help edit

If you continue to set up the templates and provide information on the background of the albums, I can continue proofing, adding and referencing information from Andrew Sandoval's new definitive book on The Monkees. The book is more up to date than the CD liner notes. Keep it up.

All Music Guide link edit

Since a link to the AMG review is already provided in the template box, I'm removing the review from the main text. Not sure if we have permission to reprint it anyway...

Error in info edit

It is not the first pop/rock album to feature a Moog Synthesizer. Paul Beavier, who plays the Moog in one song had already played on the album The Zodiac - Cosmic Sounds. Although obscure, this one is in fact an experimental rock album

Fair use rationale for Image:Pac&j.jpg edit

Image:Pac&j.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 00:17, 6 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Main personnel edit

An editor continues to add individuals to the Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd.#Main personnel section such as here. The original album cover does not contain this content and no reference has been given supporting these additional people other than "it's the truth." Does anyone have a reference for this that meets WP:Verifiability? Just post the reference information here and I'll be happy to format it. But, I am removing the content until it is given. Mike vs. Michael edit

Most of the Monkees discography have Mike and Michael. Nesmith goes by Michael but his Monkees' persona is Mike. Is there a preference or consistency needed or is both spellings ok? I changed Pisces to all 'Michael' but did not do all albums until a consensus.Docob5 (talk) 22:14, 10 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Goin' Down [Alternate Mix] edit

Are there any differences between this mix and the one released as a B-Side to Daydream Believer, other than what I have mentioned below?

  • Goin' Down [Single Mix] - (4:23) - stereo, fade-out (from 4:09 to 4:21), less prominent wailing trumpets (?), more prominent jazzy riff (?), more prominent hiss (?).
  • Goin' Down [Alt. Mix] - (4:46) - extended (23 seconds), mono, fade-out (from 4:34 to 4:39, does not fade out properly), dialogue at end, more prominent wailing trumpets (?), less prominent jazzy riff (?), less prominent hiss (?), a couple of seconds faster (I played them both together at the same time, and this one became a couple of seconds ahead).

The Door into Summer [Alternate Mix] edit

The album version of the song features two different drummers. But as far as I can hear on the alternate mix of the song, there is only one drummer. The alternate mix is in mono, which makes it harder to determine how many drummers there are, but the drumming is a lot more restrained in this mix. Could it be that there is only one drummer in the alternate mono mix of the song? -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:19, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Actually I've listened to it a second time, and it seems that there may be two drummers, as the drumming becomes more prominent after the first verse. But the drumming is more restrained in this version, and because it's in mono, it's a lot harder to hear that there are two different drum tracks. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 08:52, 27 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Micky Dolenz on Guitar? edit

It says that Micky Dolenz plays guitar on the album's personnel, however none of the individual song's personnel's credit Micky Dolenz as a guitarist. Can someone please verify that Micky plays guitar on this album? And if so what track. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:31, 5 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
