Stolen Children (book)

Stolen Children written by Peg Kehret is an american novel written in 2008.

Premise

The book is about Amy Nordlund, a teenage girl who just passed babysitting course and is asked to babysit an infant named Kendra. During the babysitting, Amy falls asleep and hears a car engine from the front. She looks and there is no car. She goes to look for Kendra. She is not there. Just as she finds Kendras stuffed cat, Tubby, laying ground, a car pulls up. Amy notices Kendra is in the back seat.

Frightmares series, Disaster series

Probably the series should be listed in chronological order, as best possible, rather than alphabetical.
All 11 books in these two 1995 to 1999 series would have been published with ISBN-10 stated, not ISBN-13. Such as ISBN 0-671-00###-# containing ostensible catalog numbers such as 969, 963, 967 for the Disaster series in sequence we list here.

Probably all were published as Minstrel Books, in turn from the Pocket Books publisher/division of Simon & Schuster. S&S acquired Aladdin properties in the mid-1990s and in 2001 or so ended publication of Minstrel Books. During 21st century S&S continues to use 0-671 ISBN for reprints under Aladdin name, and perhaps also under a name such as Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers.
Thus "Aladdin" reprints many S&S properties that originated elsewhere, as well as those that originated (or first in paperback) under some Aladdin imprint of Atheneum, etc. (ISBN 0-689-). --P64 (talk) 20:32, 24 September 2022 (UTC)

Intended Edits

I am planning on expanding upon all sections of the original article. Within the "Life" section, I plan to add more detail on Kehret's battle with polio and how that impacted the rest of her life and some details on her current passions now that she is largely retired from writing. In the "Career" section, I plan to expand upon her journey to becoming a children's author: specifically, how her childhood and beliefs led her to becoming one. In the "Awards and recognition" section, I plan to add more that Kehret and her books have been recognized for. I then plan to add to the lead section to reflect these changes, allowing for a lead section that is concise but still gives a general overview for the rest of the article. These changes will also lead to more balanced coverage as well as neutral perspectives from reliable sources. Lchung7258 (talk) 01:37, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
