Merge Peynir and paneer? edit

The current peynir article is very vague, not distinguishing peynir from other cheeses. In fact, it says that peynir in many languages "refers to cheese of any type". Either it should be merged with paneer, if it is a specific type of cheese related to South Asian paneer, or it should simply redirect to cheese, if it's simply the word for cheese in Turkish, Armenian, etc. --Macrakis (talk) 16:16, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Merge with paneer. There is some information in the peynir article that can be added to a subheading in paneer, but there is not enough substance there to serve as a standalone article. AlexEng(TALK) 21:31, 9 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge with cheese. Actually, on second thought, as far as I can tell, peynir is simply the Turkish word for any kind of cheese, not a specific kind of cheese. So it should be merged with cheese. --Macrakis (talk) 21:13, 16 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Merge as per nomination and above comments. --Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 18:09, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
Given the above, and looking at the content, redirected to Cheese with R to English. Klbrain (talk) 19:10, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
I have put template:redirect-distinguish on it. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 19:42, 5 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
