Comments
editAnyone have a clue who Nicole Burton was and if this fact is correct? Whatsthatpicture (talk) 23:05, 29 November 2010 (UTC)
I tired following the citation but it was in another language. Lil Beastea (talk) 18:29, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
I want to add two more sections to this article. One of the sections would provide more information about who was a part of the design process, and the upkeep on the palm house. Lil Beastea —Preceding undated comment added 14:25, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Palm house → Palm House – Correct capitalisation, as the building is known as Palm House or The Palm House. As per own website, World Heritage, Telegraph. Joseph2302 (talk) 15:19, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support, per nom. Randy Kryn (talk) 18:25, 30 March 2021 (UTC)
Supportits a specific house (like other topics at Friendly Fire) not a generic term (like Friendly fire). Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:25, 30 March 2021 (UTC)- Support it’s a particular location not a type of building like Tower houses.--67.70.101.238 (talk) 05:13, 31 March 2021 (UTC)
Weak support- The two titles are functionally identical but the proposed title is slightly clearer. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 06:27, 31 March 2021 (UTC)- Support. Obviously. This article is about a specific building, not a generic concept. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:48, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose This was about the concept of palm houses but the lead section was changed to describe a specific building [1]. Most of the article is still about the concept so it should probably be changed back to the original topic - an article about the specific building can be split from it. Peter James (talk) 15:04, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agree - Looking at the edit history this was originally a generic article which got changed to a specific one. An article split is likely in order. HumanBodyPiloter5 (talk) 16:16, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agree as well, the title case version should be a DAB or about the London one. Crouch, Swale (talk) 16:51, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
- Agree with split with Palm house being for general article, Palm House for London one. If I'd seen the article history, I would have proposed a split rather than a move. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:12, 1 April 2021 (UTC)
Article split
editAs per the above discussion, there seems to be a broad consensus that the article should be split, as it's currently a merge/article hijack from a general topic to information about the Kew Gardens place specificially. The Kew Gardens stuff should probably be moved to separate article Palm House, Kew or Palm House, London, unless anyone objects? I don't have enough subject knowledge to do the split myself. Joseph2302 (talk) 11:08, 8 April 2021 (UTC)
- Split now done - see Palm House, Kew Gardens. Johnbod (talk) 18:03, 8 December 2021 (UTC)
