POV garbage

In this edit I removed some typical POV nonsense about the film being an "all-time blockbuster". This is inappropriate for inclusion in an encyclopedia. That left the dubious statement that the film was the highest grosser in 1988. Surely there were films from other nations that grossed more. Maybe someone means the highest grossing Indian film? Vague statement

Editor repeatedly inserting promotional claims in his point of view, ignoring sources. A claim is "The film ran over 365 days(1 year) in Madras Safire theatre in Tamil Nadu", added with these sources [1], [2]. First source cites "Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, which ran a year in Safire" and second source says "CBI Diary Kurippu ran for one whole year in Tamil Nadu". Both sources are from the same site Rediff.com and same editor Rajitha. But by the "whole year" it did not meant "365 days". There is a more specific clearly cited source from India Today, which cites "Mammootty's CBI ran for a whopping 35 weeks (245 days) in the prestigious Safire theatre in Madras". This source also cites the box office figure of the film. It's editor is Sreedhar Pillai, a trade analyst and film historian. Its more than reliable than the duplicate of same sources from Rediff. Box office details

I found a mistake in editing of editor, which cites "Mammootty's CBI ran for a whopping 35 weeks (245 days) in the prestigious Safire theatre in Madras" in source from India Today. This article was dated on 31 December 1988 and film was released on 18 February 1988. How can this article before 365 days of release will predict film ends its theatrical run in 245 days...??? "The film ran over 365 days(1 year) in Madras Safire theatre in Tamil Nadu", added with these sources [3], [4] are found to be more accurate as it was published in 1999. First source cites "Oru CBI Diary Kurippu, which ran a year in Safire" and second source says "CBI Diary Kurippu ran for one whole year in Tamil Nadu". For the question " How can this article before 365 days of release will predict film ends its theatrical run in 245 days...???", because it only ran for 245 days and it's not a prediction. Count the no. of days between release (Feb 18) and publication (Dec 31) - It's more than 315 days, so its not a prediction, its a clear picture, the film ran only for 245 days (35 weeks). That is specifically written in the India Today report, by Sreedhar Pillai, a well known film historian and trade analyst. The two sources you provided are from Rediff.com written by the same editor, Rajitha, and a "whole year" does not meant 365 days. The Vellinakshatram report you added is not an independent source, it is a list and there are mistakes in it.
