Chart problems

edit

The chart of adjacent stations of carriers prior to the MBTA was problematic. It posed West Barnstable as the adjacent station under the CCCRR or the New York New Haven and Hartford heading north, then west from the station. However, between the two stations, going north of Hayannis were: Yarmouth, then Barnstable. In short, Yarmouth station needs to be identified as the adjacent station under the CCCRR or the NYNHH RR.Dogru144 (talk) 22:18, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

@Dogru144: I've added the Cape Codder to the adjacent stations template for the stations shown in the 1955 timetable. There's some other minor stations (including Onset) that appear in some years and not others; I'll try to add those at a later time. (Tremont doesn't seem to have been a stop for New York trains at all.) In the future, please don't scatter discussion across half a dozen talk pages for a single issue. That makes it near impossible to have any kind of coordinated discussion. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 22:57, 27 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
Well, as to scattering discussion: can you provide a good way to edit these charts? Presently, it is obvious that these charts are disaster. It is indisputable that there were trains to the adjacent stations were headed to Providence or New York, not just to Boston. Another night I'll upload the documentation.

The point is: it is cumbersome to edit these adjacent city templates. So, there is no recourse but to do as I am doing. Please provide the method for editing.Dogru144 (talk) 04:53, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
