Type of publication?
editIt's not clear to me how best to categorize this hybrid, online publication. It appears to primarily be an online newsletter, but does include some peer-reviewed scholarly articles. According to the publication's website, they "are looking mainly for short comments on recent developments of broad interest." It thus seems to fit best into Category:Environmental websites and Category:Environmental magazines. Other thoughts and suggestions? Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 13:30, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
Re: Type of publication?
editOGEL is just a law journal, as we publish online we also added a few other services such as legal & regulatory database which includes energy related laws. We are certainly not an environmental journal and do not publish a newsletter. Here is an example of a paper on SSRN http://papers.ssrn.com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=1740090 Most of the articles we publish are standard law journal articles, there is a small percentage of shorter (op-ed) comments and columns which are not peer reviewed, the law articles are. If you require further information please write to info@ogel.org so we can further information. Thank you. edit: The confusion might come from this page http://www.ogel.org/contribute.asp which may indeed cause confusion - a new version will be posted in the next couple of days. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mariswp (talk • contribs) 13:48, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for this further information. Once the website is updated, that may indeed help clarify the focus of the publication. DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 14:20, 2 April 2013 (UTC)
- The http://www.ogel.org/contribute.asp page has been updated. Do let me know if require further info. I would like to set back the Infobox back to journal type and not magazine. Mariswp (talk) 11:08, 12 April 2013 (UTC)
Moving target
editSeems to be a rather moving target. Consulting both the official journal website and WorldCat, I have tried to update this article accordingly. Part of the confusion frankly lies in the website: there's the website, the journal, and related publications. There are not always clear distinctions between them, and the names for each are inconsistent. This may need further tweaking in the future if and as this information becomes more refined. Article development
editI note the article is marked as a stub - would an overview of the special features be useful to add - a list similar to this page http://www.ogel.org/specialfeatures.asp (without the intros but only the titles of the specials) Mariswp (talk) 12:17, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
- Hi, Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Academic Journals/Writing guide for Wikipedia's guidelines for articles on academic journals. Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 12:55, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
