This article is American-centric. 'Boiled dinner' is just as traditional in the Maritime Provinces of Canada as it is in New England. Unless anybody objects, I will edit this article to reflect the cross-border history of this meal. Naymetayken (talk) 14:43, 24 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Àlthough corned beef is common in Ireland I have never heard of anyone eating it with cabbage as a dish and never as a main course. It is usually used as a sandwich filling here.Eggilicious (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:49, 5 May 2012 (UTC).Reply
Curiously, this meal is a fairly common offering in US restaurants, bars and the like around St. Patrick's Day, despite the fact that it's not at all 'authentic' Irish fare. I've even seen it offered in bars/restaurants that represented themselves as Irish.
