editI enjoyed the details provided in the biography. I wasn't sure what the "common schools" was, but I looked it up. Maybe you can expand on that in an additional sentence or link it as a specific public school. You did a good job explaining his services during the American Civil War. Maybe you can expand on his later life, if possible. Your references look good!

editThis is excellent. The revisions smoothed out the existing content and significantly bolstered details about Taylor's career and political engagement. Best of all, the new primary sources really build the credibility and the specificity of the article. It's great that you also took the time to link overlapping historical details to other pages, so that the article does not need to be overly long while a reader can readily click over to see what the Freedman's Bureau was or what the Mud March was and the like. Nice!
Two things. First, quick edit: 1950 --> 1850. Second, clarify the quotes from Century of Lawmaking in the Freedman's Bureau paragraph. The quote first follows "Taylor believed" so it seems like the words are his. But the next quote attached to the same citation includes him in the third person. Who was saying what, when, in what context? (Include end quote in that paragraph.) 108.184.175.96 (talk) 18:00, 28 April 2019 (UTC)
