Does anyone know what he did after his military service, or why it took 37 years for the MOH to be presented to him? (Hohum @) 18:11, 3 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

After the Civil War ended, Nathaniel returned to Boston where he continued his old trade as a watchmaker. Several years later, however, Nathaniel's eyesight began to fail, making it impossible to work as a watchmaker. He then moved in with his sisters in South Acton, where he lived for the rest of his life. Vought109 (talk) 00:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
No idea why the medal took so long to be presented though. Vought109 (talk) 00:05, 5 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Possibly incorrect image, on the national medal of honor museum website it is stated as there were no pictures ever took of this man
