Busiest platform in Europe

There are IP editors (possibly all the same person) repeatedly removing content from London Bridge station, specifically the statement "Platform 6 is the busiest railway platform in Europe, due to the necessity of routing all trains heading to Charing Cross and Blackfriars through it", on the grounds that "there are busiest in Paris(RER) and Munich(S-Bahn)" and other variants, some abusive. I have started a thread at Talk:London Bridge station#Busiest platform in Europe, but unfortunately, they (he? she?) won't provide reliable sources, and doesn't seem to want to discuss. Does anybody know of a station anywhere on the Munich S-Bahn which has a verifiable claim to have the busiest railway platform in Europe? If so, let's get it into this article (or the one for the relevant S-bahn station), and then we can judge London Bridge station. --Redrose64 (talk) 19:56, 20 May 2010 (UTC)

Removed uncited and incorrect statement

The article lead previously included the following (talking about the term S-Bahn):

and was originally used to describe German suburban light rail networks

The term S-Bahn originated in Berlin, in the 1920s, and has always been used to refer to heavy rail systems, usually operated by main line railway operators, but with urban rapid transit (initially) and/or (more recently) suburban railway attributes. Some sources suggest it originally stood for just Schnellbahn, but now it is generally understood to stand for Stadtschnellbahn. The author has, I suspect, mixed this up with the linguistically similar, but somewhat different in meaning, Stadtbahn.

I have just removed the statement, as I don't think it necessary to discuss all this in this article, although some clarification may be needed at S-Bahn. -- chris_j_wood (talk) 13:50, 30 May 2011 (UTC)
