Will take this on in the coming days. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 16:31, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Thanks! This is an older article of mine so I'm aware of some issues around long quotes and attribution of academic sources; I'll also work on these. VRXCES (talk) 21:40, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Pokelego999: Addressed the comments below. Please note I'm aware of some additional issues with WP:MOSQUOTE punctuation being inside quotation marks - this is a legacy of my old writing and I plan to fix this too. VRXCES (talk) 02:05, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Vrxces I don't believe the blood point needs clarification now, and as for hacking, if you feel it's too broad, then that's perfectly fine to not hyperlink. Given you've patched up the other points, I'm happy to pass this article for right now. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 02:56, 26 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Six GA Criteria edit

1. Article is well-written.

2. No OR, all info is cited in the article.

3. Coverage is broad in depth and focus. Shows multiple aspects of the game.

4. Article appears neutral, and does not appear to hold a significantly negative nor positive stance on the subject.

5. Article appears stable. Does not appear to have had any major vandalism occur.

6. Article uses two fair use images with proper rationale.

Lead edit

-Will note that you don't need to cite sources in the lead if they're cited in the article already. Less of a required fix and more just me nitpicking than anything.

    •  Y Done. I used to do this when the lead attributes a quote/idea, but agree it's not necessary here.

-Should hack be hyperlinked? Not sure if that's standard or not but in this case it might be useful.

    •    Happy to do so, but do you think the best reference for it is? The concept of 'hack' is pretty broadly disambiguated here and mostly to types of hackers, not so much hacking per se.

Plot edit

-Why is the farmer covered in blood even if they don't kill Julia? If it's not needed info then don't include it, but I am curious.

  •    Little confusing but bear with me. The player encounters the blood-stained farmer in the cave, assuming they are purely a non-player character. After the reveal, it's obvious that the 'farmer' is the previous player in the same loop as the current player. Both obtain the bloodstain from interacting with Julia regardless of what choice they make. I can make this clearer if you want, but it's not technically incorrect - I might change it to 'figure'.

-"The player is able to ask three questions to the farmer" it seems like in-game, at least from what I'm reading, that the three questions are all required, while the wording here could imply it's a "choose one of the three options" kind of question. I'd reword this.

  •  Y Makes sense. Done.

Development edit

-Looks good.

Release edit

-Looks good

Reception edit

-I feel the Boston Globe can likely be paraphrased instead of using quote snippets.

    •  Y Done.

-PCGamer I feel can also likely be paraphrased.

    •  Y Done.

-You can likely shorten the Rock, Paper, Shotgun quote a bit. I feel you can cut some of the initial bits to make it less lengthy.

    •  Y Done.

-I feel the Screen Rant source is a bit unneeded here.

    •  Y Done.

Overall edit

Really solid article on a very interesting subject. I had never heard of Moirai before reading this article, and it was very informative. Just fix what's above and I'll be happy to pass the article. Ping me if you have questions or need clarification. Has one ever considered Magneton? Pokelego999 (talk) 22:23, 25 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Date format edit

I don't think it's required under the GA criteria, but it would be helpful to establish a consistent date format (MDY or DMY). It looks like it has been inconsistent, even in early versions of the article from 2022. Larry Hockett (Talk) 14:35, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

Good call, thanks. I am the article creator and am from Australia which uses the DMY format, so I imagine what's happening is that subsequent edits are using the American MDY, which is absolutely fine! VRXCES (talk) 23:26, 29 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
