Does the Mitsubishi F-1 belong in the variants list?

edit

Looking at the revision history, this seemed to be controversial for some reason.

I would like to discuss including the F-1 in the variants section.

In my opinion, it should. If anyone disagrees, please join.

No, it's a development, not a straight variant. BilCat (talk) 03:43, 2 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but how do you distinguish between the former and the latter? The F-1 is a direct variant in every sense of the term. It is the exact same airframe, modified for a combat role. It cannot be considered a full derivative because it is not a complete redesign. Even so, derivatives are always listed in the variants section on other Wiki pages. Look at the F-5's page for example. 2001:B011:5C09:1D74:2828:C80D:9FB0:57DF (talk) 07:12, 3 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Are there any surviving T-2s, if so change "was" to "is" in the introduction
