I want to known what size battery for outlander(SUV) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 183.171.80.19 (talk) 04:35, 17 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Montero Sport is not predecessor edit

The article currently states the Montero Sport is the Outlanders predecessor. This is incorrect, as the Montero Sport (called Challenger in most countries), continues to be built and sold as of 2006, some 3 years after the introduction of the Outlander! What's more, the Montero Sport/Challenger is a mid-sized SUV based on a truck platform, while the Outlander is a compact. I am therefore removing references to the Montero Sport. merge it already edit

airtek should be merged with Outlander

Outlander should be the main article

airtrek should redirect to outlander.... --193.77.17.246 13:45, 13 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

merger done edit

I redirected the Airtrek page here, and (I think) merged all the content. Gave it a small edit while I was at it. I've left a "citation needed" tag against the intro section where I stated that Airtrek is still the name used in Brazil and Singapore. In this Singaporean motoring forum a poster seems to say that their Airtrek is being discontinued too for the 2006 model in favour of Outlander, so I reckon the Airtrek name is being scrapped everywhere.

I've also left the MMC template as is, with the Airtrek listed as a past model. --DeLarge 15:08, 15 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Adding HELPFUL info edit

Why don't ANY of these car pages have anything helpful such as: -mpg -crash test rating -recalls -major problems etc

Seriously, why? It's not just this page, its all cars.--71.86.90.104 (talk) 17:05, 3 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

We're supposed to be like MSN Encarta, not MSN Autos. Wikipedia is not a lot of things (see WP:NOT), such as a review site, a buyers' guide, an instruction manual, or anything like that. Regards, --DeLarge (talk) 08:33, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Outlander K2 edit

I've removed this photo, as it's frankly incredibly trivial, and not even strictly accurate. According to MMC Chile's website, both the Outlander and Outlander K2 are available, suggesting that this is basically a different spec. A photo of a badge on the rear door which doesn't even show the rest of the car isn't serving any particular encyclopedic purpose. Regards, --DeLarge (talk) 08:23, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Avoid localised terminology like SUV edit

Wikipedia's article on SUV says "The term is not used in all countries", yet it is used in the very first line here to describe this car. I have learnt that Wikipedia is often US biased. That is not a good thing when it screws up definitions. Let's try to fix it. HiLo48 (talk) 20:23, 22 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Outlander EV modes edit

Outlanders manufactured in 2017 have an "EV mode" for pure-EV driving.

The wikipedia page incorrectly implies that this is not a feature of the car. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.170.151.90 (talk) 11:29, 12 April 2017 (UTC)Reply

EurovisionNim edit

I have replaced this picture twice but on each occasion my changed has been reverted by Comrade EurovisionNim. I invited him to take the discussion to this talk page (twice) rather than mindlessly reverting my replacement but he is too busy doing what he does for that. The fellow has form. One of his problems (and therefore wikipedia's) seems to be that he has too much time on his hands. But if anyone (else) has time to go through the entire Mitsubishi Outlander entry and come up with a more balanced set of images than our comrade has recently inflicted on it, please do so. Otherwise the casual wikipedia reader will get a very strange idea about where they make and sell Mitsubishi Outlanders. In my (fairly) humble opinion this image highlights several of our friend's evidently incurable blindspots in terms of image quality. It is not as terrible as a lot of the images he has dumped on wikipedia over the past couple of years, but as you will see from my narrative when replacing it, we should - at least in my opinion - be able to do soooo much better. And we can. Regards Charles01 (talk) 12:08, 30 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Comrade lol (I just laughed myself to death), and hey my images aren't terrible haha. They may be a little different to your liking (I'm here to improve so 2019's shots won't have blindspots [I hope !!]). Can't I be referred to as sarge or general please :D. Anyway, looking at Mariodo's example, only reason I reverted his was because his is a PHEV model (and also was very blurry – I knew that), and we are not illustrating the Outlander PHEV, rather we are illustrating the standard model. In the UK its only sold as the PHEV so I believe personally (feel free to disagree with me) that we should have the normal Outlander (as the outlander was originally in petrol, as opposed to electric). This was taken 4 years ago, when I first began, so I didn't have much of a clue at the time, but the car is a rental model, and was damp on the day and is very similar quality to my other shots. I love your morbid sense of humor, do you drink beer much mate :P. Also yes Charles I do, I'm always on call, I'm the rapid responder to a crime in progress (the crime being replacing low quality junk or someone replacing their own shot, with a vague edit summary, we know who 🤓 (Vauxford don't take this seriously, its all a joke, I really love your images, especially your Outlander PHEV images, they're good (see talk on why I used mine) 😃). Charles seems to be a comedian but apparently can't crack a pun unlike me. Hey Charles, feel free to do as much photoshopping on my images, Vauxford, you do too instead of wasting time grabbing pictures, why don't you work on overwriting other images. Anyway, we will let everyone decide --EurovisionNim (talk to me)(see my edits) 12:21, 30 December 2018 (UTC)Reply
