History of military nutrition
editThis really shouldn't redirect to History of military nutrition in the United States, it should be a globalized article, at least a stub. Should that happen, History of Military Nutrition should be repointed to here. 70.24.251.71 (talk) 08:11, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
Expansion Much?
editThis is a stub. I'd think this can use a lot more, ranging from whatever we know about say the times of Ancient warfare (e.g. logistics in times of say Kadesh) to modern period. I believe there are other wiki articles (with source) that provide some information, such as the Ancient Greek soldiers eating onions and cheese in the Ancient Greek cuisine article. 96.32.92.111 (talk) 17:29, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
- I think that the article discusses 'form factors' and types of rations ('what it is') but does not discuss either (a) a history of applying nutritional guidelines to the content of the rations nor (b) the US military's history of developing plant-based meatless foods (US Army Research Labs, Natick, MA) for outer space use and possibly conditions of cultural sensitivity. It may perform its function, but I would like to see more of a build-out on those topics. MaynardClark (talk) 17:03, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
