Michael BrandonMichael Brandon (actor)More viewed than a porn star, but I don't see either being more significant than the other, even when he portrayed a satirical version of Jerry Springer. Most of his roles are minor or supporting roles. WP:2DABS generally discourages two-topic disambiguation pages unless there is no primary topic of a base name. Relisted. • Comment the proposed name fails WP:PRECISE, there being two U.S. actors with this name, one of them a porn star. As long as this is the primary topic, the "(actor)" redirect is fine, but once this is no longer the primary topic, "(actor)" is to imprecise to use, and would necessarily need to redirect to the disambiguation page. So, you'll need to add the birth year to the disambiguation. Michael Brandon (actor, born 1969) or Michael Brandon (actor born 1969) -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 06:02, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
I can't do that. I removed his birthdate as unverifiable. --George Ho (talk) 08:12, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
As a last resort if this really needs to be moved, (television actor) or (film and television actor), maybe? Seems like this guy's biggest roles have been on TV, whereas presumably the other guy's "acting" never shows up on TV. There's a few other dabs done like this, e.g. Roger Davis (film actor) vs Roger Davis (television actor), Bill Johnson (film and television actor) vs Bill Johnson (musical theatre actor). On the other hand there's also Brad Johnson (actor) vs Brad Johnson (television actor). 58.176.246.42 (talk) 13:45, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
He appeared in plays, too. Did you see a photo of his portraying the fictional version of Jerry Springer? (Never mind, it's a non-free image that doesn't belong in Wikipedia) --George Ho (talk) 15:08, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
The porn star is from California, this guy is from Brooklyn, so Michael Brandon (New York actor) -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 03:59, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Both have lived in California, no matter where they were born. Also, it looks more confusing and less consistent. "Actor" and "pornographic actor" are distinctive enough and unambiguous enough. In fact, it shows that "actor" is different from "pornographic actor". You want to use "non-pornographic actor", longer than "actor"? --George Ho (talk) 05:07, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
It isn't that distinctive. Ever seen Catherine Breillat films? Michael Brandon (non-pornographic actor) -- 67.70.32.20 (talk) 06:58, 16 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose. I really think that given the difficulty in disambiguation we're creating a problem for ourselves that doesn't need creating. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:18, 15 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Daily Mail edit

I've recent made some changes in the personal life section and added more appropriate sources instead of the daily mail info stuff, the sources are from his personal website about his bio, which he wrote himself. Hope this will settle things straight I apologize for the misunderstanding. 174.192.29.98 (talk) 20:01, 5 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

MB's website is a WP:PRIMARY source and is deprecated for use in WP:BLPs. Info needs to be from WP:SECONDARY sources. MarnetteD|Talk 20:11, 5 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
