NPOV edit

How is it that the only source in this article is a bogus anti-tort reform study, when all reputable economists acknowledge the positive effect MICRA had on insurance rates? THF (talk) 22:57, 2 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

NPOV? This stub is not comprehensive enough to have a NPOV problem. edit

This article is basically just a stub and does not even include all of the major provisions of MICRA. Basically there are only four or five anyway.I assume that you are referring to the "effect of the statute" with your NPOV complaint. The effect of the statue both here and as a model for other states is virtually undisputed. Physicians claimed a malpractice insurance crisis before the statute. That claim has gone away.the fact that the $250,000 noneconomic damages cap (pain-and-suffering) has not been raised in more than 35 years speaks volumes. Even states that have followed the California model with their own versions of MICRA have raised this number without much political controversy. If you want to complain about something, complained that this important contribution to the health care debate is a virtual stub in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Da5id403 (talkcontribs) 19:59, 27 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
