I've started this article as a translation from the German Wikipedia. However, the article from Spiegel gives further details and I plan to add these in due course. Transferring image from de.Wiki (?) edit

I've transferred the image of the plaque from the German Wiki to the English Wiki. However, despite my best efforts thus far, I can't get the picture of Dibobe and his workmates to come across. If someone could do this for me, I'd learn what to do in future ... also be most grateful for the help with this article. Mikeo1938 (talk) 10:04, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Mikeo1938: it appears that this image is not uploaded to Commons while the image with the plaque is, and that's why your reference to the plaque works. It seems like the image was flagged for license concerns, so it needs individual review before being uploaded (see [1]). As far as I can tell it should be safe to upload, do you want to give it a go at https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Main_Page? Kostajh (talk) 08:37, 1 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

My translation was deleted edit

The article on Martin Dibobi is a translation from the German Wiki. Any citations that appear in the German version have been transferred to the translated version.

There is no other reference to him in the English Wiki.

He is notable as a black man who lived in Germany in the early days and made a success of his life there. A plaque was erected to commemorate him in Germany.

I hope that this translated article will be accepted for full inclusion.

The German article can be seen at: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_Dibobe
