Notes

edit

What is the point of the Notes section? All the statements in the article (the few that exist) are sourced with inline references. The links in the Notes section need to either be expanded into actual article content or removed. Euchrid (talk) 01:44, 10 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Contrary to your interpretation, Wikipedia's manual of style explicitly permits the use of general references, per WP:FNNR. Mephistophelian (talk) 20:58, 11 September 2012 (UTC).Reply
I guess the issue is not so much that the Notes section exist, more that the list is two thirds of the article, and that they would be best expanded into article content. If I get a chance I'll take a look through them and make a start on it today.Euchrid (talk) 22:18, 11 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
I would definitely agree that in the long run for cleanliness' sake and for WP:V that notes be converted into inline refs where possible. I just added this to my watch list, so after some cleanup I'll start that route. I'm not opposed to some staying if they are more general in nature, but if they cover more specific information I'll convert them to standard inline refs.
Also, it's probably just me, but does anyone else find the reference format used here more difficult? --Teancum (talk) 14:36, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

"generally favourable reviews"

edit

Seriously? From a casual glance at the gamerankings.com page it says it has a 90.17% average score and is currently the #3 ranked xbox game of 2012 and the #7 ranked game overall in 2012. That sounds slightly better than "generally favourable."

Given the publication of additional reviews, you could have actually taken the time to update the article instead of complaining for someone else to do it. Mephistophelian (talk) 20:58, 11 September 2012 (UTC).Reply

Sorry, I don't really know wth I am doing when it comes to wikipedia. This is only the second time I have ever tried putting anything in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 130.76.32.215 (talk) 19:35, 12 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

That's cool, friend, it's really quite easy. If you're interested, I recommend signing up for an account and giving it a shot. If you don't know how to do something specific, say like a citation, the best way to learn is by trying. You can see how it's done by opening the Edit window on a page and looking at the code, reading a tutorial, or asking another editor.Euchrid (talk) 20:52, 12 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
