Sahaib3005 moved Mark Bernstein to Mark Bernstein (regent) and then Mark Bernstein (Regent) (but left the resulting redirect pointing to that page). 162 etc. requested a revert of that at WP:RM/TR, which I actioned, but I think Sahaib was right that there is no primary topic for this name. A Google search for "Mark Bernstein" reveals a mix of the three people mentioned at the DAB as well as a few non-notable Marks Bernstein, suggesting that no one has a real claim to being the primary topic of this name. This is further borne out by Special:WhatLinksHere/Mark Bernstein, which shows that people routinely link this page looking for someone else: [1] [2] for Mark H. Bernstein, [3] for Mark Bernstein (Wikimedian) (added before he had an article), and [4] [5] for Mark Bernstein (author) (this guy... I'd add him to the DAB but can't find a suitable redirect target). To me that makes it pretty clear that there's no primary topic. Furthermore, attention on Wikimedian Mark Bernstein can only be expected to grow in coming days and weeks.

I could live with moving this to (regent) or (Regent) as Sahaib did, but, since that seems to be a disambiguator almost never used for university regents, I would suggest "University of Michigan" instead, describing his affiliation rather than role. Still, I don't want some bikeshedding to get in the way of a PTOPIC-based move, and support any reasonable disambiguator. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 18:17, 14 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Support disambiguation page. Also, Mark Bernstein is in dismay and needs a major cleanup but that's seperate, at least it gets parenthesis now. Naleksuh (talk) 00:11, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Weak support the Wikimedian has 8,438 views and Mark H. Bernstein has 88 compared with only 798[[6]] for this one but the Wikimedian has a spike a few days ago. Crouch, Swale (talk) 10:00, 15 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 01:26, 17 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
