Recent edits - please discuss here edit

I edited the article for the stated reasons of:

C/E. Failed verification - birthplace not in cited source. Article written in 2000, 2003 knowledge is impossible. alhirschfeld.com interview ref failed verification, etc

These changes were subsequently reverted (along with valid & supporting documentation/references I had added) with no explanation. I have now changed the article back to the supported version but let's discuss here on the talkpage. Cheers, Shearonink (talk) 21:19, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Re this edit & this edit: The cast of this "Peter Pan" was apparently made up of High School of Performing Arts students and - according to the New York Times - was perhaps performed Off-Broadway for 10 performances - See AfC comments. I am trying to find reliable sources that can verify the facts.
Re: "contemporaneous documentation"...What Wikipedia needs is information and statements from reliable sources - if this "contemporaneous documentation" is published in a reliable source it could be used in a Wikipedia article. For instance if there is a contemporaneous notice or article about the production in the Village Voice or in the New York Times or in something like Back Stage/BackStage, Actors's Cues, Show Business (casting), etc. - that would probably suffice.
