Requested move 14 October 2021 edit

The result of the move request was: moved. There is consensus that a single accent is not a sufficient disambiguator. WP:SMALLDETAILS allows for using disambiguators other than small details as long as the new title still satisfies WP:CRITERIA. So this move is in accordance with policy.
One user suggested there was no WP:PRIMARYTOPIC but did not provide evidence. Others provided pageviews as evidence that the Bayern player was the primary topic, hence there is consensus that a disambiguator is not needed for the Bayern player.
There seems to be support for moving the Bayern player to Lucas Hernández (with an accent), but I recommend starting another RM for that. (non-admin closure) VR talk 22:24, 22 October 2021 (UTC)
Lucas Hernández → Lucas Hernández (footballer, born 1992) – Page name differs from Lucas Hernandez only by an accent on the a. Previous moves have given a consensus that this is not enough disambiguation. The other page of the French/Bayern Munich player is clear primary topic though. - Support, WP:SMALLDETAILS does not apply here as the French footballer often uses the accent on his name as per his twitter here, and Bayern profile here. Lucas Hernández should redirect to the French footballer at Lucas Hernandez.--Ortizesp (talk) 15:16, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Comment. That's a good point, I didn't realize he uses the accent too. Perhaps, Lucas Hernandez should be moved to Lucas Hernández as part of this nomination. RedPatch (talk) 16:12, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME and DAB - The Bayern Hernández is the primary topic out of these two and creating Lucas Hernández (disambiguation) to list both entries.
- As to naming: Not sure why Mattythewhite moved the Bayern one to Lucas Hernandez where, as Ortizesp said, the player uses the accent as well on his Instagram, it is also used in the German media per Google site search for lucas hernandez bayern and many language versions of Wikipedias also has his name spelt with an accent (de:Lucas Hernández, es:Lucas Hernández, it:Lucas Hernández). Returning that page whence it came would solve the final part of the problem.
- The other part of the problem is that we would move this page to the Lucas Hernández (footballer, born 1992) location first, clean up all the links pointing to this article then return the Bayern one whence it came. Thanks, Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 17:51, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
- Or perhaps returning this page whence it came to the nationality disambigator as it was moved from Lucas Hernández (Uruguayan footballer) back in 2019. There must have been some mis-understanding on how the Bayern one and his family should spell their surname properly though the English media generally does not use markings in their reports. - The amount of page views (of the Bayern one and the Uruguayan one varied greatly last month and not much is known about the latter, suggesting there is a primary topic based on those points.
