I'll take on this review, as part of the July 2021 Backlog Drive.

Huddersfield Town

• [all of which as a substitute] Missing word.

• [11][12][13][14] Four consecutive citations is a bit excessive. The last three are all match reports and could be combined into one citation (Wikipedia:Citation overkill).

• [although made no further first-team appearances for the club] Missing word.

Stevenage

• [57][58][59] One citation is enough here (the fact that he signed for Stevenage is non-controversial).

Burton Albion

• [Despite having signed a new 12-month contract with Stevenage on 20 May 2014, Akins signed for League Two club Burton Albion on a two-year contract on 18 June 2014] Has he said why he made this move?

• [He made his Burton debut in the club's opening match of the 2014–15 season, scoring the only goal of the game in a 1–0 away victory at Oxford United.] You use the same citation twice in this sentence; once at the end is enough.

• [signing a two-year contract extension on 30 June 2016] I'd suggest dropping the word "contract" here (you've used it twice in the sentence already).

• [20th-place] No hyphen here.

• [He was named as Burton's Player of the Year of the season] Here, delete "of the season".

@Harper J. Cole:. Thanks for reviewing the article. I've gone ahead and made all of the above changes as suggested. I removed the four consecutive citations as they are actually all covered by the Soccerbase reference. I have archived the relevant non-working references. Whilst I have not been able to find anything in writing in regards to his personal life, I would say the "early life" section covers some of this and it's a bit of a crossover.
