Talk:London Underground D78 Stock

213.152.230.220 07:36, 11 October 2007 (UTC) "The D Stock is composed of six-car trains, as opposed to the seven-car trains of CO/CP, and R Stock, whose cars were shorter. The bogies are the same as on the 1973 Tube Stock." Isn't this slightly incorrect? Should it not read "composed of two half sets of three cars each" and are the bogies not in fact the same as the 1983 (i.e. Jubilee) line stock?Reply

It says the rest of the line exclusively uses the D stock. This isn't strictly true, as there are early morning Olympia trains that use the C stock, destined for Edgware Road. As far as I am aware Olympia is considered a separate branch. tractakid (talk) 08:38, 28 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Withdrawal edit

I've found two primary sources that say the D stock will be withdrawn from "later in 2014"/"later this year" (both documents dated July 2014) paragraph 4.1, PDF page 3 paragraph 2.1.2 PDF page 6. However there are non-RS sources saying the first one was withdrawn this month (January 2015). I haven't found any reliable secondary sources in this search but others might.
