Talk:London Mithraeum

I don't know how to flag a page as possibly plagiarized, but my plagiarism alarms went off when reading sentences like this:

"a finely-detailed bearded head of Serapis, Jupiter-like in his features but securely recognizable by the grain-basket, the modius, upon his head, a token of resurrection."

"Jupiter-like in his features"? "Securely recognizable"? Who in the 21st century writes like that? This sort of stuff sounds to me like it was lifted directly from a book, probably one of the ones that appears in the bibliography below. Even if it's original, very little in this article is NPOV: what does and does not count as a "token of resurrection," and where "the Mithraic epiphany" took place if it happened at all, are very much under debate by scholars. --Hapax 15:15, 27 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
