Grammar school

edit

The article says she went to the Royal Grammar School, Guildford, but that is an all-boys school, as stated in the WP article for it and on its own website. The cited source says she went to "Guildford Grammar School". Is this perhaps a different institution? Or a mistaken in the source? (There is a WP article for a Guildford Grammar School, but that is in Australia.) Anyhow, I'm removing the category for "Old Guildfordians" and updating the wording of the article to reflect exactly what the source says, since barring an unmentioned gender reassignment, she presumably did not go to RGS Guildord. --RL0919 (talk) 05:18, 23 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • I left Royal Grammar School, Guildford in 1992. When I left it was an all-boys school and remains so. I went to school with Liz Lloyd's brother, John. I think she attended either Guildford High School for Girls or Tormead School. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.32.46.194 (talk) 12:48, 14 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Honours

edit

According to the article, Lloyd was made an MBE in the 2008 honours list. However, this list shows a CBE, as does the Financial Times (29 December 2007), and The Independent shows an OBE. Is it possible that the list could have changed (the source in the article is a few days later), or is it more likely that The Independent and the Streatham Guardian had made errors? snigbrook (talk) 22:46, 21 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

In Scotland

What about her role as chief of staff for Nicola Sturgeon or as accuser in the trial of Alex Salmond, where the jury determined her to be a lier? --62.216.207.189 (talk) 18:13, 6 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Different Liz Lloyd. See https://www.heraldscotland.com/news/24072289.liz-lloyd-gives-evidence-covid-inquiry/ I imagine lots of people coming here at the moment will share the confusion. --Ef80 (talk) 14:35, 25 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
