Born to Die - The Paradise Edition
editShouldn't the songs from Born to Die - The Paradise Edition, except for "Blue Velvet", "Burning Desire" and "Ride", be removed from the "Released" section since they haven't actually been released yet? Also, the name of the originating album should be changed from Born to Die: The Paradise Edition to Born to Die - The Paradise Edition. teammathi (talk) 17:33, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should just keep them in released since they're actually going to be released. Maybe we should change the album to Paradise? Confusing with a re-release.--MrIndustry (talk) 18:13, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- I think we should remove them from "Released" until November 12 and yes, changing the album to Paradise is a good idea. teammathi (talk) 18:25, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
Non-registered songs
editHiya, just wondering about several songs on here; if they're not registered in the usual places i.e. BMI, ASCAP etc. how do you know who wrote them? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.3.74 (talk) 19:44, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- If you tell me which songs I can tell you how. Most songs are registered, just harder to find as there might be a slight misspelling of the name.--MrIndustry (talk) 21:16, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Lets say Methamphetamines and Moije Joue? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.3.74 (talk) 23:24, 19 October 2012 (UTC)
- Lana writes all of her own music unless it's a cover. There are no additional writers listed.--MrIndustry (talk) 00:52, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks! Can i ask where its listed then? I know of Harry Fox, ISWC, BMI, ASCAP and USCO only. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.3.74 (talk) 09:52, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- You can only list Del Rey/Grant as a writer if it's registered that way. Her saying that she writes everything herself is not sufficient as a source. teammathi (talk) 11:52, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Oh i see, it was more of a safe assumption. Thanks for the replies anyway — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.198.3.74 (talk) 22:39, 20 October 2012 (UTC)

Hey, I was looking through Youtube and found a Lana song that leaked within the past couple of days. I think it's called "Party Girl". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.252.166.217 (talk) 15:28, 28 April 2013 (UTC) Yeah, here it is again! - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=moj4TwuMoTE — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.252.166.217 (talk) 15:32, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Pseudonym
editShould we add a "Pseudonym" column to the "Released" section since part of the songs were released as Lizzy Grant? teammathi (talk) 13:45, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, good idea.--MrIndustry (talk) 18:53, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Release dates
editVideo Games and born to Die were both released in 2011, but the article says 2012. Shouldn't they be changed? And also, Paradise was released yesterday (Nov 9th) in Finland on iTunes (probably somewhere else too, I don't know), so could the new tracks be added to the column. 93.106.71.23 (talk) 08:25, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Correct Titles
editSt Tropez is actually a completely different song than Party Girl, which hasn't been leaked yet. It was a mistake when it was leaked. Also, it is Trash Magic and not Trash. It's Midnite Dancer Girlfriend and not Midnight Dancer Girlfriend. It's Stop Lite De-Lite, not Stoplight De-Lite. Please don't correct it when it's not wrong.84.30.93.169 (talk) 11:30, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
Pseudonym and intended album column
editThe pseudonym and the album a song was intended for are pure speculation for pretty much all of the unreleased songs and I think the columns should be removed. Also, every information added to Wikipedia has to be backed up by reliable sources and a lot of the information on this page doesn't have any references. This needs to be fixed or the entries will be removed. Littlecarmen (talk) 13:55, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
Unreleased songs and outtakes
editThe "Unreleased songs and outtakes" section should be deleted. It's a mess and the majority of information is unsourced and/or completely made up. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a fansite. Littlecarmen (talk) 22:39, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
- Or, at least, sources should be included to verify their existence. Leaked tracks, too. --Another Believer (Talk) 02:17, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
- I've cleaned up the article and added sources for everything since I made that post. I'm still not sure unreleased tracks are notable enough to be included in the article, but at least they're well-sourced now. Littlecarmen (talk) 09:49, 14 June 2014 (UTC)
Should unreleased songs be included?
editI re-wrote the entire article a while ago to polish it up because I would like to nominate it for featured list status in the future and everything in it is sourced now but I'm not sure whether unreleased songs should be included in this list, or not. Every artist has songs leak, and they aren't mentioned in any of their articles, but they seem to be more prominent (and frequent) with Del Rey. It is hard to find really good, reliable sources for single unreleased tracks that have leaked and I'm afraid that the article would not live up to the expectations for a featured list if the unreleased songs and the sources for them would remain. Also, they are not necessarily notable. I would like some other editors' opinions on this. Thank you. Littlecarmen (talk) 19:10, 18 June 2014 (UTC)
Since no one has responded to this, I'm removing the unreleased songs as they are not notable enough. Littlecarmen (talk) 07:16, 27 June 2014 (UTC)
I think having the unreleased songs on here is helpful to a lot of people. I think a lot of people (me included) would like them to be put back. We could put them in their own article if you think that'd be better.
- I just don't think any of them are notable enough. I'm sure there are fans who appreciate them but other than that, I don't see much of a point in including them. Every artist has songs leak but none of them are listed on their list of songs recorded. I'm sure there's some fan-kept lists that may even be more complete because they don't need good sources for inclusion. Littlecarmen (talk) 09:56, 28 June 2014 (UTC)
- I was also frequently coming back to this article because of the list of unreleased songs which is difficult to find comprehensively elsewhere... Considering Lana Del Rey has been underground for some time and that a fairly large part of her following is a cult following that follows all of her material, less than half of which has been released, I think the article isn't very representative of her work if you choose to leave the unreleased tracks out. To give an example, Serial Killer has a Youtube video with 2 million views and another with close to 1 million, it's more notable than most of the songs on her first album. I think that released/unreleased is a bit of an arbitrary distinction that in the case of partly underground artists like Lana Del Rey doesn't have much to do with notability. You probably know the Wikipedia guidelines more than me but I just wanted to put my two cents in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.45.54.213 (talk) 11:04, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- Unreleased songs can be a part of a list of songs, but it will not be promoted to a featured list, unless you have reliable sources for all of them. See for example List of unreleased songs recorded by Michael Jackson, which is a featured list, but all songs are sourced, mostly from a book about him. Also the FA criteria state: "It comprehensively covers the defined scope, providing at least all of the major items and, where practical, a complete set of items", so the only problem will be verifiability. 2Flows (talk) 12:53, 11 July 2014 (UTC)
- May you keep in mind that this is a list of songs recorded by Lana Del Rey, not a list of notable released songs. It wouldn't make sense to exclude songs based on their notability, when the point of this article is to provide a comprehensive list of her songs - released or not. We do have sources that verify the legitimacy of the majority of her unreleased/unleaked songs, so why keep them away? And it would be ignorant to say that no other artist has a list of unreleased songs, when many clearly do - see Britney Spears, Beyonce, JoJo, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Demi Lovato, Pink Floyd. 84.30.93.169 (talk) 14:15, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- See WP:NMUSIC, "Unreleased material (including demos, mixtapes, bootlegs, promo-only recordings) is only notable if it has significant independent coverage in reliable sources." The vast majority of her unreleased songs fail this. List of unreleased Britney Spears songs lost its featured list status because a lot of the songs could not be sourced properly. Apparently ASCAP and BMI registrations are not sufficient since they do not prove the song was actually recorded, just that it was written and registered, and using those websites as sources would violate WP:SYNTH. Sources that contain audio of copyrighted songs that is used without permission violate WP:LINKVIO and can also not be used. This way, there is no way we could decently source the majority of her unreleased/leaked songs and adding them would only worsen the quality of this article. Littlecarmen (talk) 14:53, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
- Comment I just came regarding about the same issue. It's misleading because it purports to be a list of songs recorded by Lana, but it really is only a list of songs that were officially released or received significant coverage. There are a bunch of well known/popular Lana songs that weren't released but are very popular and have millions of hits. In some cases, Lana has actually performed them in public. She sang Serial Killer on her tour last year. Enigmamsg 21:09, 22 February 2016 (UTC)
Two tracks for Big Eyes
edit"Big Eyes" and "I Can Fly", written and performed by Del Rey for the film Big Eyes. ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:39, 6 December 2014 (UTC)
- Added. Littlecarmen (talk) 21:32, 6 December 2014 (UTC)

Chelsea Hotel no 2 and Summer Wine
editwould the they qualify for this list? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sweden Rocks hard (talk • contribs) 23:43, 16 February 2015
- I don't think they do. Littlecarmen (talk) 22:32, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Why not? Weren't they recorded by her? I think they should be here (but not on her discography) as they fit to the title - they were recorded by her. --Polikdir (talk) 09:03, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
"Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind"
editI added "Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind" to this list, but details still need to be filled in and I'm not sure if a standalone article is in order. Thanks! ---Another Believer (Talk) 00:25, 17 May 2017 (UTC)
