China rank edit

Can someone explain China's rank?— Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.141.88.208 (talk) 00:18, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Shanghai is not a country edit

This is a list of countries by student performance, so Shanghai should be removed from the list, it looks like some kind of propaganda by chinese government community managers... Therefore, I proceed to delete it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.50.132.157 (talk) 13:40, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge edit

PISA 2012 also contains the list of countries by the latest publication, as well as information on the importance on the results. That makes this article redundant. The only thing this article contains that PISA 2012 doesn't have is the annualised change in score, which I propose to add to it in the merge. This article should be redirected to the latest PISA article (i.e. 2012 and then 2015 when such is made). If no opposition is made, the merge will go ahead in about a week. • Another possible solution may be to use this article for a list of historical PISA results as 2009, 2006 etc do not have their own respective articles like 2012. They are currently located on PISA article and it doesn't bode well since it's a mixture of prose and lists. Jolly Ω Janner 22:29, 14 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
I see where you are coming from, but in general I would like to have results in one article rather than in x articles. Can we not have one PISA article with drop-down tables for individual reports? Thanks for considering... Seligne (talk) 23:08, 10 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I'm not familiar with any policy regarding the use of drop-down tables. I know that tables are discouraged because it ruins the flow, but drop-down could reduce this effect. To me it seems overly excessive to have all of the results from every study on the main article. Perhaps all the results could be merged into one table at List of countries by student performance? There is certainly enough page width to accommodate this on desktop and laptop screens. This way all the results would be at a single article and not multiple (excluding the 2012 results; the existence of which still confuses me). Jolly Ω Janner 00:14, 11 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
I've converted tables with previous results to drop-down tables. As for overall structure, I agree with merging PISA 2012 and List of countries by student performance. I the content to Programme for International Student Assessment, and moved outdated information to Programme for International Student Assessment (2009 and earlier).
